I know it’s not officially Spring yet, but it sure has felt like it this last week and I thought what better way to celebrate the coming of the warm weather than by letting you know about Pages NW Guide Service. Larry Page has been fishing the Oregon waters for over 40 years and now offers year round fishing in a covered and heated 26’ Alumaweld Intruder boat as well as a drift boat.



I haven’t been fishing since I was ten, so I thought it best to let Larry update you on the upcoming fishing seasons. Take it away Larry…..




Hello Fellow Fishermen,


IT'S SPRING NOW AND TIME TO GO FISHING...


We are fortunate to have an incredible Spring Chinook Salmon run predicted. This is the largest return since fish counting began in 1938. This will be an absolutely phenomenal Spring Chinook Salmon Season. I know it's going to be a great fishing year with 470,000 Salmon predicted in the rivers.

Fishing for Spring Chinook Salmon and Sturgeon



I have been running fishing trips on the Columbia and Willamette rivers for Sturgeon and will continue into May. The bite has been great and only gets better through out the spring.

2010 FISHING SCHEDULE



Keeper Sturgeon (Astoria area): mid May through June
Summer Chinook and Summer Steelhead: June and July
Walleye: July through August
Tillamook Bay fall Chinook Salmon: September through November

Wine, beer, catering, live music and organic vegan food: what could be more Portland?

I work at a restaurant downtown and last week the staff of  Cupcake Jones came in for dinner. They were kind enough to bring our staff two boxes of the most heavenly cupcakes I have ever tasted. After my first bite of the  'Downtown Cupcake Brown' I  decided that Cupcake Jones had to be elloPortland's Business of the week. I'm making it my mission to get the word out and because no one can be angry while munching on one of these cupcakes, I firmly believe it will be good for the world. Do your part to make the world a happier place; eat a cupcake.
